SPECIALIST GERMAN COURSES FOR STUDENTS OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND RELATED DISCIPLINES
In cooperation with the Capgemini company a German language course level A2 (in the winter semester) and B1 (in the summer semester) for students of Information Technology and related studies.
ERASMUS EXAM
This year only a written examination was conducted in a remote form.
Four students took the exam. They all passed.
PHD EXAMS
1 exam was conducted in the 2019/20 academic year.
SURVEY - CONDUCTING STUDENT SURVEYS
University-wide student surveys are conducted electronically.
Internal (paper) student surveys were conducted by members of the Evaluation Committee in the winter semester in groups of hospitalized persons. The results of the questionnaires were placed in employee records.
3.NON-TEACHING ACTIVITIES
18th GERMAN LANGUAGE TOURNAMENT
The first stage was conducted in the form of a test covering different language skills: reading with understanding, listening with understanding, vocabulary and grammar.
In addition, participants had to demonstrate knowledge of the culture, history and geography of countries of the respective language areas. The participants gave very interesting presentations on topics related to the culture, history and real life in the countries.
They demonstrated great skills.
15th NATIONAL GERMAN LANGUAGE OLYMPIAD
The first stage of the 15th National German Language Olympiad for students of higher technical universities took place on Thursday 28th November 2019.
90 minutes were allocated for writing the test. Eleven students participated in the Olympiad of the thirteen entered. The test was conducted in room 106 and started at 3.30 pm.
Workshops to prepare students for the Olympiad were held on 14 and 21 November.
The final results and the list of students qualified for the second stage were announced after 10 January 2020.
The second stage due to pandemic did not take place. The organisers will provide information about the second stage in September 2020.
LOWER-SILESIAN SCIENCE FESTIVAL [DFN]
The team is planning 1 workshop as part of the DFN.
LANGUAGE JUVENALIA
Throughout the whole week of the festival, classes were conducted in a different form. The lecturers of prepared competitions, quizzes, shows, presentations, films, song work.
WORLD CULTURE WEEK AT SJO
During the winter semester 2019/20, the project World Culture Week at SJO was implemented.
Each day new information on world culture was posted. The German Language Team
German Language Team posted information about the culture and traditions of German-speaking countries every Thursday. Information was also posted on Facebook.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
International projects have been suspended due to the pandemic.

GERMAN LANGUAGE TEAM MEETINGS
Three meetings of the Team were held in the academic year 2019/20. The last meeting was held remotely via Zoom messenger. During the meetings, information was presented regarding the work of the Team and the implementation of the teaching process.
The meetings were also a good opportunity to remind the members of their duties, congratulate them and thank them for their diligent work.
