Recruitment regulations

  1. The Department of Foreign Languages offers paid language improvement courses.
  2. The organisation of these courses and teaching quality are supervised by the Plenipotentiary for Language Improvement Courses appointed by the Director of the Department of Foreign Languages.
  3. The offer of the courses presenting the course title, teacher’s name, number of hours, short course description and the price is available in the university media and on the Department website usually 3 weeks before the beginning of the winter/spring term and/or summer holidays.
  4. To successfully enrol in the chosen course, one needs to make the payment for the course – a bank transfer into the department bank account.
  5. Before a course starts, every course participant signs an agreement specifying the rights and obligations of both the organiser and the participant (see the attachment ).
  6. The courses start on the condition that a minimum of 12 participants are enrolled (in 12 to 15-particpant groups). The decision whether a course can start is made by Plenipotentiary for Language Improvement Courses, and each participant receives a confirmation that the course will start via email or by phone.
  7. Should a course be cancelled before the first class, all payments made by the participants are repaid in full.
  8. A detailed course description is available before the course starts on the Department website in the ‘Other activities’ bookmark.
  9. The conditions of course completion comprise regular participation and working according to teacher’s recommendations. After completing the course, the participant receives a certificate.
  10. The rights and obligations of course participants:
    a. Course participants have the right to:
    use the resources in the Virtual Learning Environment (Wirtualne Środowisko Nauki – WŚN) whicg is the department internet learning platform,
    consultations with their teacher only by appointment,
    access and discuss their assignments,
    personal data protection.
    b. Course participants are obliged to:
    take payments for the course to the bank account indicated by the Department timely,
    regularly attend classes,
    have a coursebook and materials recommended by the teacher and bring them to classes,
