Cambridge Advanced (CAE)

Course information:

  • The course prepares for CAE (Cambridge Advanced) which is held in the British Council centres in we Wrocław or at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Wrocław University of Technology.
  • The course is intended for WrUT students, PhD candidates and people from outside the university.
  • The entry requirement is taking a placement test an receiving a CEFR level of B2 or higher.
  • The course fee is to be transferred to the following bank account.
  • The price of the course does not include the exam fee and the price of a coursebook.
  • The course will be run by teachers with many years of experience in preparing for the Cambridge Advanced exam.

WHAT IS CAMBRIDGE ADVANCED?

Cambridge Advanced is one of the most popular English exams at the advanced level. The Cambridge Advanced Certificate is recognized by the Civil Service Office as a document confirming appropriate qualifications for candidates applying for a job in the Polish civil service as well as by many universities, institutions and enterprises. The Cambridge Advanced certificate is valid indefinitely.

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE EXAM HELD?

The Cambridge Advanced exam is organized several times a month in examination centres in Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk, Katowice, Lublin, Olsztyn, Poznań, Szczecin and Wrocław.

WHAT IS THE EXAM STRUCTURE AND PROCEDURE?

The Cambridge Advanced exam consists of 5 parts:

a) reading (1 hour 15 minutes),

b) writing (2 hours),

c) use of English (1 hour 30 minutes),

d) listening (45 minutes),

e) speaking (15 minutes).
