The Department for Foreign Languages is participating in the project "Raising competences of students of the Faculty of Chemistry in response to the needs of the labour market", co-financed by the European Union within the European Social Fund.

Project participants: final-year undergraduate and first-year postgraduate students of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University
Aim of the project: linguistic preparation of students for communication in the workplace and functioning in an academic environment related to the chemical industry, through
- education and development of communicative competences for professional needs in the area of technical sciences,
- perfecting language skills including specialist language,
- perfecting language skills acquired at earlier stages of learning,
- perfecting language skills necessary in various situations of academic life,
- developing the ability to use an appropriate language register adapted to different language situations typical of the academic environment
- developing the ability to speak freely in various situations of academic life.
Duration of the project: 2016-2019

Place of classes: Foreign Language Centre of Wrocław University of Science and Technology
Qualification method: enrolment and language test
Scope of project activities: implementation of the following types of language courses:
Technical English course at B2 level preparing participants for the Mondiale exam (52 hours)
Conversation course in specialist English for working environment at B1/B2 level (24 hours)
Conversation course in specialist academic English at C1 level (12 hours)
Course completion: Certificate of completion or Mondiale certificate.
