The Department of Foreign Languages offers language courses of seven different languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Polish and Russian at four levels of language proficiency (in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages):

I level studies

Every full-time student is entitled to 120 hours for learning foreign languages (60h/1st semester + 60h/2nd semester). Classes take place twice a week.  After completing the mandatory B2.2 or C1.2 level (each of them worth 3 ECTS points) the students may choose another 60-hour course of the second language, worth 2 ECTS points.

During first level studies as an Erasmus+ student visiting for one semester, you can take part in a 60-hour language course.

II level studies


Every full time student is entitled to 60 hours for language courses:

  • 15  hours to continue learning of the first language (the course of which was accomplished at level B2.2 or C1.2 during the first level studies) that is B2+ scientific and technical language course (C1+ only in English)
  • 45 hours to learn the second foreign language at levels A1, A2, B1.1, B1.2.

 

During second level studies as an Erasmus+ student visiting for one semester, you can take part in a 15-hour language course, or choose the second language course.
