System of language learning (description, variants, examples)

2nd level studies (full time) 

Every student is entitled to 60 hours for language courses:

  • 15  hours to continue learning of the first language the course of which was accomplished at level B2.2 or C1.2 during the first level studies – B2+ scientific and technical language course (C1+ only in English) as well as
  • 45 hours to learn the second foreign language at levels A1, A2, B1.1, B1.2.

The courses of foreign languages from the first level studies are not recognised as accomplished at the second level studies. Example: If a student accomplished a language course at A1 level during the first level studies, he or she is obliged to choose the same language but on a higher level (e.g. A2) or a different language at any level during his/her second level studies.

Information for students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan:

  1. Russian language: two groups of Russian language available: B2.2 level for the first level studies (the first foreign language), as well as B2+ technical language for the second level studies (this language course must be the continuation of the first foreign language
  2. As regards other languages, Russian-speaking students may enroll on any course they wish.
