To mark the 70th anniversary of Department of Foreign Languages, a special commemorative mural will be created in cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture of WUST. It will be located on the ground floor in Building H4. Students participating in the Laboratorium Mural classes, taught by prof. Karolina Jaklewicz, have been working on it since the beginning of the spring term 2021/2022. The most interesting project will be selected by the Jury consisting of the DFL Management team, prof. K. Jaklewicz, J. Łątka, PhD, and a representative of the Lower Silesian Chamber of Architects Mr A. Poniewierka. The students from prof. K. Jaklewicz’s class will also create the selected mural.

In April, small architecture elements commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the DFL will appear in the central part of the university campus. There will be a Communication Bench encouraging everyone to have a conversation in any language and on any topic, a commemorative tree and a granite commemorative stone located just beside it, with a plate informing about the DFL Anniversary. Under the stone, the objects selected by the academic community as the best characterisation of the reality surrounding us will be placed in a time capsule.
