Welcome to Poland is a long-standing project created by the Department of Polish and English Language for Foreigners, which aims to bring closer the culture, traditions and history of our country to foreign students and young Poles from all over the world. Each year a rich program of events, cultural tours and lectures is prepared.
Program
- the ABC of functioning in the city (visiting the campus of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Reagan Roundabout, buying tickets, showing the nearest clinic, etc.).
- Official welcome for students of the intensive course referred by the National Agency for Academic Exchange, combined with refreshments and a competition of knowledge about Poland
- An integrative full-day excursion to Karkonosze Mountains
- Lectures at the National Museum for students referred by NAWA.
- Assistance to students with insurance at the National Health Service.
- Sightseeing tour of Wrocław (Ostrów Tumski, Runek, University of Wrocław, Leopoldina Hall, Szczytnicki Park, Centennial Hall).
- St. Nicholas' Day in student groups combined with handing out packages
- Christmas Eve for NAWA referrals
- Christmas Eve for students of the intensive course referred by the Department of International Affairs (DSM)
- Lectures in the Ethnographic Museum, Pan Tadeusz Museum and in the History Department Zajezdnia and Hydropolis
- Visiting Panorama Racławicka
- Culinary workshops - let's get to know each other from our cuisine
- Art workshops as part of the Easter meeting
- Joint visit in zoo - summer semester.
- Trip to Stołowe Mountains in the summer semester.
- Four-day trip (Kraków, Wieliczka, Oświęcim, Tatra Mountains)
- Joint visits to cinemas (depending on a repertoire).
- Cruise on the Odra river
- Foreign language song contest as a part of the Language Festival
- Graduation ceremony for students referred by NAWA
