Application for an extracurricular course
- Application for extracurricular course will be possible only with the consent of the dean of the student's own faculty or the vice-director of the Department of Foreign Languages for student affairs and internationalization – depending on places available after the enrolment corrections.
- Participating in an extracurricular course is subject to a fee (ZW 115/2025).
- Enrolment will be possible only via the university e-mail system on 01.10.2026, at 8.15-10.00. Information should be sent to zapisy-lektoraty@pwr.edu.pl
from a @student.pwr.edu.pl e-mail address.
- In addition to standard enrolment information, the student must attach the consent of the unit's director or the dean of the faculty (scan of the document).
- Enrolment into an extracurricular course is subject to criteria identical as in the case of a course in the study programme (requirement to receive credit, requirement to retake the course).
- The student can enrol in any language course regardless of their study cycle, language, number of hours, ECTS points.
- The learning outcomes validated as a result of completing an extracurricular course are not included in the grade average.
- We kindly remind you that in accordance with the Regulations for Degree Programmes at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, an extracurricular course shall not be used to credit language courses required by the study plan.
- In the case when a student fails an extracurricular course, they should retake it. As part of the retake course, the student can enrol in any language course (e.g. another language or level) with the same number of ECTS points. The retake course is paid (in accordance with the current internal regulation ZW).
We advise particular caution to students of the last study semester who wish to enrol in an extracurricular course. In the case when such course is failed, they will need to retake the course in the next semester, which means postponing the defence of their engineering, bachelor's or master's thesis.
