Dear Ms Modrzycka
I am writing to extend my thanks for the organisation of yet another Polish Language Olympiad for Foreigners. Such events play an especially significant role in because they not only popularise the Polish language, culture and tradition, but also integrate centres involved in educating foreigners, thus showing the beauty of our country, language and tradition. Both the students and Kinga Groszewska, MA, who was their facilitator, were impressed by the organisation of the Olympiad – family atmosphere, excellent organisation, kindness and professional approach of Mrs Joanna Kozieja-Ruta and other employees of the Department of Polish Language for Foreigners will certainly remain in our memories and the friendly contacts made in Szklarska Poręba will be maintained.

It is worth noting that the Polish Language Olympiad for Foreigners such a precious initiative among various events for foreigners studying in Poland that it has become a permanent element in the calendar of Polish language centres for foreigners and has gained the position of one of the most important events of this kind. I am deeply convinced that if it was organised more often, would increase interest in learning Polish as a foreign language, thus contributing to the integration of foreigners, teachers and academic centres in Poland.

I would like to thank you again together with all employees and students of the Polish Language and Culture School and the chair of International Polish Studies of the Silesian University and hope that you will start numerous new successful initiatives.
