Development of the linguistic competences of students, PhD candidates and other WUST language courses participants.
Project concept is based on:
- during online teaching,
development of the language skills of Polish and foreign students, both full- and part-time, participants of preparatory courses for prospective students and PhD candidates at WUST during online teaching using available IT tools, - extending the knowledge of course participants about the countries in which the languages taught in the department are spoken,
- popularisation of foreign languages taught at the Foreign Language Department WUST.
- motivation for systematic language learning using a multi-aspect approach and various task types.
The classes are organised for all students and PhD candidates who volunteer to participate and are free of charge.
The goals are pursued with the participation of students, PhD candidates and other WUST courses participants in various language related events organised by the Foreign Language Department teachers online in the academic year 2020/21 (with a possible continuation in the following years). The following initiatives are included:
- Language Café
- Intercultural language workshops
- Language Juwenalia
- Polyglot’s Arcade
- Language Clinic
The Foreign Language Department has been regularly organising a large majority of these for many years, during the pandemic the events are held online.
