The 16th National German Olympiad for Technical University Students was organised by the Foreign Language Department of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.
The first written stage took place on Friday, May 21, 2021. The test was composed of 7 tasks,
for which the participants could score 77.5 points. It encompassed tasks related to grammar, vocabulary, knowledge about German speaking countries, and technical vocabulary tasks. The test lasted 90 minutes.
Nine out of fourteen students who volunteered to participate actually took part in the test (online using Microsoft Teams). Next, the tests were printed, marked and sent to Olympiad Organiser’s address in Gliwice.
Before the second stage, on October 14 and 21, 2021, the students participated in workshops conducted by Krzysztof Rzemiński, M.A.
Three out for students who were qualified for the second stage, which was also held online on October 27-29, 2021, participated in it. Mr Wiktor Postek and Ms Monika Kampinos won places in the Top Ten.
