“The workshops and the optimum combination of teaching and training.”
“We had two stimulating teaching workshops. The workshop on Problem Based Learning was inspiring and confirmed a lot of my ideas about how to teach a foreign language. The workshop of effective lesson closures gave some great ideas for immediate classroom use. Definitely a highlight of the week.”
“There are not many International Staff Weeks specifically focused on language teaching. The idea itself is already a great success. The motivation of the entire team in the Language Department, the excellent coordination, the close relationships… everything has been remarkable! The opportunity to learn about the daily work of their language teachers and to learn from each other’s successes and challenges has been the biggest highlight for me.”
“The highlight of the SJO International Week was the vibrant and insightful panel discussion on innovative practices in language education, featuring distinguished educators and experts from various countries. This event showcased a series of inspiring presentations and interactive sessions that delved into the latest trends and methodologies in language teaching.”
“The highlight of the SJO International Week was not only the information sharing gatherings such as workshops but also the hands on activities and meeting up with the teachers and students there to introduce our institutions or what we do. We were able to observe the real time fruitful lessons of the professors working there and also could teach the student group in Poland so that we could not only exchanged opinions but also observed the student profile as well. Also the cultural events and the opportunities to get together, I believe, were very appealing and warm to remember because the group was very small, professional and friendly.”
“The International Week of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology has been an invaluable professional and personal experience. At the academic level, I highlight the quality of the workshops which have been a great opportunity to contrast and share ideas on innovative teaching. Also, the activities planned by the university team have been of great interest and have allowed us to share among colleagues, while getting to know the city. Wroclaw is the perfect setting for this kind of activities: a beautiful city with warm people and great cultural activity. On a personal level, all the teachers and staff of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology were very kind, attentive and welcoming. In spite of the short time, I can say that we were able to create a cordial bond. I am very grateful for having been able to participate in this wonderful experience that I will certainly remember with great affection.”
“Please, continue organizing it for many more years! Something like this is always necessary to develop the intercultural competence of language teachers.”
“Thanks a lot for the inspiring get together!”
